Duane C. Kiken, age 68 of Ham Lake, formerly of Sauk Centre, died Monday, June 29, 2009 at his home in Ham Lake.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, July 6 at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Sauk Centre. Rev. Marty Porter will officiate with interment following at Greenwood Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday and 1 hour prior to the service on Monday at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Sauk Centre.
Duane Calven Kiken was born August 21, 1940 in Ashley Township, Stearns County, Minnesota to Clarence and Regine (Heidemann) Kiken. He attended country school and graduated from Sauk Centre High School in 1959. Duane enlisted in the Air Force and served for 4 years and 9 months, stationed in Biloxi, Mississippi. He returned to Sauk Centre for a year and moved to Minneapolis where he was employed at UNISYS for a number of years, and lastly at B.T.W. as a computer technician. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Sauk Centre and the Radio Club in Nowthen. Duane loved collecting and fixing John Deere tractors, and going to tractor and horse shows.
Survivors include his sister, Judith Kiken of Brooklyn Park; brother, Gary Kiken of San Jose, California; aunt, Martha McIntyre of Sauk Centre; and many loving relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Regine Kiken; and many aunts and uncles.Honorary casket bearers will be members of Duane's Radio Club.
