Dorothy M. Lemley, age 93 of Wadena, formerly of Sauk Centre, died Sunday, July 5, 2015 at her son's home near Wadena, Minnesota.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Sauk Centre with Rev. Stephen Meltzer officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
Dorothy Mae Semler was born November 4, 1921 in Richmond, Iowa to Frederick and Mary (Stump) Semler and grew to adulthood in the vicinity of Wellman, Iowa. On January 19, 1947 she married Leo John Lemley at St. John's Lutheran Church in Wellman, Iowa. The couple farmed near Wellman until March, 1959 when they moved to a farm in Raymond Township, Stearns County, Minnesota. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Sauk Centre and the Paul F. Donart VFW Post 2853 Auxiliary in Sauk Centre.
Survivors include two sons, Donald (Rosa) Lemley and David Lemley; one grandson, Brian Lemley; and brothers, Leo (Karen) Semler of Coralville, Iowa and Edward (Ruth) Semler of Wellman, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leo Lemley on April 10, 1992; and brothers, Donald, Claude, and George Semler.
Serving as casket bearers will be Virgil Vogel, Tom Minette, Scott Magnuson, Jeffrey Magnuson, Brandon Magnuson, and Duane Vornbrock. Honorary bearers will be Megan Lintner, Jackie Miron, Cheryl Magnuson, and Kevin Magnuson.
