Dorothy M. Feldeverd, age 71 of New Munich died Monday, May 3, 2004 at her home in New Munich.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 6 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in New Munich with Rev. Julius Beckermann, OSB officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and from 8 to 10 a.m. Thursday at Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Melrose. St. Anne's Christian Mothers will pray at 7 p.m. followed by parish prayers at 8 p.m. on Wednesday evening.
Dorothy Feldeverd was born on September 27, 1932 in Oak Township, Stearns County, Minnesota to Anton and Christine (Eickhoff) Massmann. She was united in marriage to Joseph H. Feldeverd on November 8, 1955 in New Munich. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and the St. Anne's Christian Mothers.
She is survived by her children, Mary Wielenberg and her husband, Dennis of Upsala, David Feldeverd of New Munich, Doris Gruis and her husband, Mickey of Zimmerman, Agnes Kunstleben and her husband, Eugene of Avon, and Allen Feldeverd and his wife, Rhonda of Mosinee, WI; 10 grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Sylvester Massmann and his wife, Joan of Colorado, John Massmann of St. Cloud, Celestine Massmann and his wife, Beatrice of New Munich, Anthony Massmann and his wife, Marion of Eagle Bend, Virgil Massmann of Shoreview, Ireneaus Massmann and his wife, Irene of Vadneis Heights, Christine Wochnick of Holdingford, and Felicitas Vornbrock and her husband, Gerald of Upsala.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Anton and Christine Massmann; husband, Joseph Feldeverd on March 12, 1987; brothers and sisters, Wilfred Massmann, Andrew Massmann, Dorine Massmann, Alquin Massmann, and Rosemary Ruegemer.
Serving as casket bearers will be Kenneth Wielenberg, Sarah Wielenberg, Lori Wielenberg, Terry Wielenberg, Ann Wielenberg, Joshua Gruis, Michele Kunstleben and Michael Kunstleben. Serving as cross bearer will be Elizabeth Feldeverd and scripture bearer will be Timothy Gruis. Honorary bearers will be Mary Ann Pflipsen, Mary Ann Zierden, Loretta Revering, Pat Bushmann, Erma Poepping, Kathy Wolbeck, Alice Sand, Lorraine Schaefer, Delores Frieler, Leona Frieler and Ruth Wiechmann.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
