Doris Mobeck

Doris A. Mobeck, age 86 of Sauk Centre, died Thursday, August 30, 2012 at the Fairway Pines Assisted Living in Sauk Centre, Minnesota.

Funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. Saturday, September 1 at First Lutheran Church in Sauk Centre with Rev. Kevin Born officiating. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday at the church in Sauk Centre.

Doris Anne Anderson was born February 27, 1926 in St. Paul, Minnesota to Thor and Bertha (Widstrand) Anderson. On December 6, 1952 she married Warren Mobeck at Zion Lutheran Church in Chisago City, Minnesota. She was a proud graduate of Chisago City High School and worked at St. Paul Fire and Marine. Doris later worked for Stearns County Soil and Water Conservation. She was a member of First Lutheran Church in Sauk Centre. Doris enjoyed crocheting afghans, playing the accordion when she was young and later in life playing the organ. She also loved keeping up on the news of her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Warren Mobeck of Sauk Centre; children, Jane Mobeck Wilson of Roseville, Tom (Mary) of Chaska; and five grandchildren.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Betty Peterson.

Serving as casket bearers will be Graham Wilson, Grace Wilson, Robert Mobeck, Timothy Mobeck, and Peter Mobeck.In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to First Lutheran Church.
