Donald John Tembreull was born November 27, 1936 in Fargo, North Dakota to John and Dorothee (LeFevre) Tembreull. He graduated from Pierz Memorial High School in 1954 and served in the U.S. Army until his honorable discharge in 1957. On July 18, 1959 he married Carol Seitz. Don worked as a mail carrier on trains prior to his graduation from St. Thomas University in 1965. After graduation, he worked as a bank examiner for the U.S. government which eventually led him to his career as an IRS Agent until his retirement in 1980. After retirement, Don served as a business administrator at several churches in the Twin Cities area.
Don was a member of Seven Dolors Catholic Church in Albany. He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting, and was a voracious reader. He was a proud member of Alcoholics Anonymous, the REC program, and also volunteered his time to many non-profit organizations. He lived "one day at a time" and believed that his calling was to help family and others in need. His sense of humor was "wicked", a strong liberal to the end.
