Donald Lee Bartlett was born July 17, 1933 in Royalton, Minnesota to Ralph and Lottie (Flint) Bartlett, the sixth child of nine. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1950, at the age of 17, and served until being honorably discharged in 1957. He enjoyed fishing and deer hunting. He hunted yearly at the Eaton farm near Sandstone. We have wondered which he enjoyed more; the hunt or sitting in the old farm house just talking with whoever was there hunting with him.Donald passed away quietly Tuesday, September 15, 2009 at his home in Elkhart, Kansas, surrounded by his family members, at the age of 76 years, 1 month, and 29 days.
He is survived by four children, Greg, Dawn, Gail, and Kari; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; five sisters; one brother; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Lottie; brother, Wally; and one infant brother.
