Dolores R. Imdieke, age 77 of Meire Grove, died after a long battle with cancer on Friday, March 9, 2012 surrounded by her family at the Melrose Area Hospital in Melrose.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 13 at St. John's Catholic Church in Meire Grove with Rev. Omar Guanchez officiating and Rev. Marvin Enneking, Rev. Ron Dockendorf, Rev. Ken Thielman, Rev. Ken Popp, and Rev. Virgil Helmin concelebrating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
Friends may call from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Monday and from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church in Meire Grove. St. Mary's Society and Poor Soul's Society will pray at 6 p.m. followed by parish prayers at 7 p.m. Monday evening at the church.
Dolores Rose Vos was born June 25, 1934 in Krain Township, Stearns County, Minnesota to Stephen and Anna (Lang) Vos. On June 10, 1957 she married Raphael Imdieke at St. Anthony Catholic Church in St. Anthony, Minnesota. The couple farmed in Meire Grove and after Raphael's death, Dolores and Dale continued farming until 1985. She enjoyed shopping, gardening, traveling, sewing, cooking and baking. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family.
Dolores was a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Meire Grove, St. Mary's Society, and the Poor Soul's Society.
Survivors include her children, Dale Imdieke of Meire Grove, Louise Imdieke of Sauk Centre, Kathryn (Paul) Gray of Clear Lake, and Rachel Imdieke of St. Cloud; grandchildren, Courtney and Ethan Gray; sisters, Ramona (Gerald) Zeis of St. Anna, Eileen Zeis of Albany, Elizabeth Holthaus of Cold Spring, Patricia (Edmund) Eggert of Upsala, Harriet (Steven) Jonas of Avon, and Jeanette Vos of St. Cloud.
Dolores was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Raphael Imdieke on December 30, 1983; sister, Audrey Scheibel; and brother-in-law, John Holthaus.
Serving as casket bearers will be Donald Imdieke, Eugene Imdieke, Lyle Imdieke, Leon Imdieke, John Eggert, and Leo Eggert. Serving as cross bearer will be Courtney Gray and scripture bearer will be Ethan Gray. Gift bearers will be Paul and Ethan Gray. Mass server will be Eric Imdieke. Readers will be Courtney Gray and Al Buschmann. Honorary bearers will be the St. Mary's Society and the Poor Soul's Society.
