Diane Baker

Diane S. Baker, age 70, of Sauk Centre, passed away after battling cancer on Sunday, December 11, 2016 at her sister's home in Sauk Centre, Minnesota.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, December 15 at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Sauk Centre with Fr. Greg Paffel officiating and Fr. Kumar Sudhansu presiding. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Sauk Centre and from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the upper gathering area at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Sauk Centre. Parish prayers will be held at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home.

Diane Sylvia Cokely was born December 12, 1945 in Sauk Centre, Minnesota to Francis and Luella (Fenton) Cokely. Diane has been a very faithful and positive person all her life. On June 9, 1990 she married Harold Baker in Anoka, Minnesota. Diane loved to help people and was very giving. She always put others before herself. She enjoyed playing BINGO and card games with friends and family. She was also a volunteer at the CentraCare Nursing Home in Sauk Centre.

Diane was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church.

Survivors include her children, Ken (Joanne) Christians of Mounds View, Deb (Carl) Winter of Blaine, and Tina (Jeff) Abbott of Monticello; grandchildren, Ryan, Tara, Justin, Alicia, Brooke, and Anna; brothers and sisters, Marion Schumacher of Sauk Centre, Dennis Cokeley of Duluth, Karen Fisher of Sauk Centre, David (Rita) Cokeley of Sauk Centre, Pat (Terry) Crider of Sauk Centre, and Shelly Littlefield (Tim DePue) of Lowell, AR; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Diane was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Baker on November 11, 2009; parents, Francis and Luella Cokely; and brothers and sister-in-law, Roger Schumacher, Jerry Fisher, Barb Cokeley, and Bob Littlefield.

Serving as casket bearers will be Todd Fisher, Ken Christians, Carl Winter, Jeff Abbott, Ryan Carlson, Dirk Crider, Terry Crider, and Justin Case. Cross bearer will be Brooke Winter and scripture bearer will be Anna Winter.
