Dennis Krick

Dennis H. "Denny" Krick, age 66 of Sauk Centre, died Friday, April 18, 2014 at the St. Cloud Hospital in St. Cloud, Minnesota.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 25 at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Sauk Centre. Rev. Greg Paffel will officiate with interment following in Calvary Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and 8 to 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Sauk Centre.

Dennis Henry Krick was born September 7, 1947 in Chehalis, Washington to Harold and Bernadine (Pelzer) Krick. The family later moved to St. Cloud and he graduated from Cathedral High School in 1965. On May 31, 1969 he married ElDonna Roquette at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Padua. The couple resided in Little Falls and Grand Rapids before moving to Sauk Centre in 1972. He owned and operated the Audio Hut, was a bus driver for Sauk Centre Public Schools and was later employed at Holy Family School.

Denny was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church, Sinclair Lewis Aerie of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Sauk Centre Jaycees, Sauk Centre Area Chamber of Commerce and Sauk Centre Area Historical Society. When he was younger he enjoyed playing softball and volleyball, deer hunting and also played St. Nick for many years. More recently he enjoyed playing cards and watching his grandchildren's sporting events.

Survivors include four children, Stacie (Shawn) Fletcher of Sauk Centre, Steven Krick of Melrose, Lisa (Adam) Wiener of New Prague and Julie (Bret) Anderson of Sauk Centre; six grandchildren, Noah, Hunter, Eli, Erin, Carly and Isaac; brothers and sister, Tom (Lois) Krick of Sauk Centre, Ron (Carrie) Krick of Waite Park, Bob Krick of St. Cloud and Deb Breitbach (special friend, Mark Weller) of Elrosa; sister-in-law, Mary Jane Krick of Monticello; many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, ElDonna Krick on September 12, 1993; his parents; infant daughter, Tonya Marie Krick in 1977; brother, Jim Krick in 2012; brother-in-law, Gary Breitbach in 2006; mother-in-law, ElDoris Roquette in 2007 and father-in-law, Donald Roquette in 2013.

Serving as casket bearers will be Tom, Ron and Bob Krick, Gary Roquette, Bret Anderson, Adam Wiener and Shawn Fletcher. Cross bearer will be Deb Breitbach, scripture bearer will be Noah Fletcher and gift bearers will be Hunter and Eli Fletcher, Erin and Carly Wiener. Honorary bearers will be Megan Primus, Fern Ahrens, Verda Qualey, Jean Mitchell, Jane Kelly, Victor Schwinghamer, Mary Warner, Susan and Betty Van Havermaet.
