Dennis F. "Whitey" Hoeschen, age 48 of Sauk Centre, died on Saturday, July 19, 2003 at the St. Cloud Hospital from injuries received in an automobile accident.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 22, 2003 at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Sauk Centre with Rev. Todd Schneider officiating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.

Friends may call Monday from 4 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 8 to 10:30 a.m. at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Sauk Centre. Parish prayers will be at 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Whitey Hoeschen was born February 2, 1955 in Sauk Centre to Ralph and Dorothy (Finken) Hoeschen. He was united in marriage to Marlene Bierschbach on October 24, 1981 at St. Paul's Catholic Church, Sauk Centre. Whitey was a co-owner of Centre Lumber in Sauk Centre. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, snowmobiling and go-kart racing. He was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church, Sauk Centre.

He is survived by his wife, Marlene Hoeschen of Sauk Centre; children, Sara and Matt at home; mother, Dorothy Hoeschen of Sauk Centre; brother, Ken Hoeschen (Kathy) of Fridley.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Hoeschen on Oct. 21, 1969; brothers, Ronnie in 1949 and Larry in 1950.

Casket bearers will be Dick Ripka, Lowell Jenc, Steve Kluver, Mike Hoeschen, Larry Marthaler, John Pastian. Cross bearer will be Lisa Hoeschen and scripture bearer will be Lindsey Egan. Employees and Co-Workers of Centre Lumber will be honorary bearers.
