Deloris J. Hamann, age 72 of Albany, died peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at Cherrywood Advanced Living in Richmond, Minnesota.
A Funeral Service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, October 19 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Albany with Rev. Becky Thomas officiating. Interment will take place in the parish cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. Saturday at the church.
Deloris Jean Eickhoff was born December 23, 1946 in Martin County, Minnesota to Loren and Verna (Meyer) Eickhoff. She graduated from high school in 1964. Deloris married Kenneth Hamann on July 8, 1967 at Grace Lutheran Church in Belgrade. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, going to the casino, playing cards, reading, word find puzzles, gardening, and canning pickles. She also liked to watch Judge Judy. Deloris was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Albany.
Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Hamann of Albany; children, Scott (Alice) Hamann of Albany, Kim (Steve) Pelzer of Albany, and Jason (Jill) Hamann of Albany; nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, with one on the way; and brothers and sisters, Phyllis Bendorf, Larry Eickhoff, Joyce Soine, Velma Gable, Sharon Oeltjenbruns, Karen Kuefler, Carol Eickhoff, and Dennis Eickhoff.
Deloris was preceded in death by her parents, Loren and Verna Eickhoff; brother-in-law, Larry Oeltjenbruns; and niece, Angie Oeltjenbruns.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
Serving as casket bearers will be Deloris’ grandchildren, Jeffrey Hamann, Justin Hamann, Jacob Hamann, Jenna Hamann, Johanna Hamann, Ashley Platz, Joshua Pelzer, Brittany Pelzer, and Kaylee Hamann.
