Deloris L. Brick, age 82 of Sauk Centre, died on Saturday, February 7, 2004 at St. Michael's Hospital in Sauk Centre.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, February 12 at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Sauk Centre. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and 8 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Sauk Centre. Parish prayers will be at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, followed by Sauk Centre United Auxiliaries at 7 p.m. and Christian Mothers at 7:30 p.m.
Deloris Brick was born on July 28, 1921 in Melrose, Minnesota to Christ and Frances (Minette) Rehkamp. She was a graduate of Sauk Centre High School. On May 25, 1942 she married Andrew Brick at Mayhew Lake, Minnesota. The couple farmed in Birchdale Township, Todd County and later in life, she was employed at Fingerhut until retirement. For the past few months she had resided at St. Michael's Nursing Home in Sauk Centre. She was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church, Christian Mothers and Paul F. Donart VFW Post 2853 Auxiliary.Deloris loved nature, especially feeding wild birds. She also enjoyed crafts, puzzles and watching television, especially Jeopardy.
Survivors include two children, Judith Radermacher of Crooks, South Dakota and Jim (Kathy) Brick of Sauk Centre; four grandchildren, Renee Bechen, Ruth Radermacher-Yurick, Rochelle Tiahrt and James A. Brick; one great granddaughter, Cassandra Yurick; sister, Jane Tschida of Sauk Centre.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Andy Brick on May 13, 1986; sister, Joan Didier; great grandson, Caleb Yurick.
