Delores Sovich

Delores M. Sovich, age 62, of Sauk Centre passed away on March 17, 2006 at her home after a courageous battle with cancer.

Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 21, 2006 at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Sauk Centre with Rev. Todd Schneider officiating. Inurnment will follow in the parish cemetery.

Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Sauk Centre.

Delores Sovich was born on Oct. 13, 1943 in Getty Township, Stearns County to Hubert L. and Magdalen M. (Klaphake) Wiener. She attended Getty Grove School, then Sauk Centre High School graduating in 1961. On July 6, 1963 she was united in marriage to Richard Sovich in Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church in Sauk Centre. They resided in Brooklyn Center until moving to Sauk Centre in August of 2005. Delores was employed at Brooklyn Center High School for 27 years, retiring in June of 2005. She was a member of St. Alphonsus Church in Brooklyn Center and St. Paul's Catholic Church in Sauk Centre. Delores was dedicated to her family and especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed reading, gardening, traveling and the outdoors.

Survivors include her husband, Richard Sovich of Sauk Centre; children, Beverly A. Jensen (Todd) of Wyoming, MN, Kevin R. Sovich of Elk River, and Kimberly M. Habben (William) of Brooklyn Center; 3 grandchildren, Kyle and Kayla Jensen and Avery Habben; brothers and sister, Francis Wiener (Ginie) of Spokane, WA, Donald Wiener (Lois) of Sauk Centre, and Fronie Moritz (Leander) of Sauk Centre; and many nieces and nephews as well as many good friends and neighbors.

She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant brother.

Urn bearer will be Kyle Jensen. Cross bearer will be Avery Habben. Scripture bearer will be Kayla Jensen.

Memorials are preferred.
