Dean Bodeker

Dean L. Bodeker, age 57 of Melrose, died Monday, July 14, 2008 at his home in Melrose.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 18 at Saint Mary's Catholic Church in Melrose with Rev. Vince Lieser officiating.

Friends may call Friday one hour prior to the service at the church in Melrose.

Dean Bodeker was born June 15, 1951 in Glenwood, MN to Wayne and Myra (Tolifson) Bodeker. On February 24, 1973, he was united in marriage to Carla Evens. Dean was an over the road truck driver for Long Haul Trucking of Albertville, MN. He enjoyed everything nature had to offer. He especially loved spending time at home with his wife, children, grandchildren and other members of his family.

Survivors include his wife, Carla Bodeker of Melrose; children, Aaron (Meagen) Bodeker of Bemidji and Allan Bodeker of Spring, Texas; grandchildren, Hattie and Henry Bodeker at home; brothers and sisters, Janet (Leon) Trattles of Annandale, Darrell (Cindy) Bodeker of Sauk Centre, David (Barb) Bodeker of Sauk Centre, and Denise Bodeker of Melrose.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne and Myra Bodeker; and sister, Sharon Joarnt.

Serving as casket bearers will be Darrell Bodeker, David Bodeker, Aaron Bodeker, Allan Bodeker, Tom Weber, Bob Bloom, and Wayne Bodeker in spirit. Cross bearer will be Abby Walz and Ethan Walz will be scripture bearer. Readers will be Hana Totten and Hope Totten. Petitions will be read by Katie Koopmeiners and the eulogy read by Allan Bodeker.
