David Bauer

David R. Bauer, age 67, of Elrosa, died Friday, October 30, 2015 at St. Joseph's Hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, November 3 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Elrosa.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, November 2 with parish prayers at 5 p.m. Visitation will also be 1 hour prior to Mass on Tuesday at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Elrosa.

David R. Bauer was born to Jerome and Rita (Backes) Bauer on April 16, 1948 in Melrose. David graduated from Belgrade High School, attended St. Cloud State University, served in the MN Army National Guard, and established a successful career working at North American State Bank in Elrosa for 41 years.

He married Agnes "Angie" Primus on November 7, 1970 in Melrose. David loved his family, career, and community. His passion in life was helping to serve others through his work. He volunteered for many years at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Catholic Order of Foresters, the Elrosa Fire Department, Elrosa Commercial Club, Sauk Centre Lions Club, and was a member of the Elrosa Senior Citizens. He also enjoyed golfing, watching sports, playing cards, and visiting with people.

David is survived by his wife, Angie of Elrosa; children, Chad of Menomonee Falls, WI; Stacie (Rick) Harvala of Moorhead, MN; Perry (special friend, Joy Cochran) of Watertown, WI; Ryan (Tina) of St. Joseph, MN; Math (Kristin) of Elrosa, MN; Jill (Randy) Duevel of Prior Lake, MN; Kayla (Eric) Meyer of St. Joseph, MN; 15 Grandchildren; sisters, MaryAnn and Marlene Bauer of Elrosa, MN; and brother, Dale (Barb) of Brainerd, MN.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
