Darrell W. Bodeker, age 60 of Sauk Centre, died Friday, June 25, 2010 at Fairview University Medical Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 28 at the Sauk Centre United Methodist Church in Sauk Centre. Rev. Marianne Ozanne will officiate.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Sauk Centre and Monday at the church one hour prior to the services.
Darrell Wayne Bodeker was born October 15, 1949 in Glenwood to Wayne and Myra (Tolifson) Bodeker. After graduating from Sauk Centre High School, Darrell worked at Sauk Centre Tire and eventually purchased the business, which he has owned for over 30 years. On September 21, 1968 he was united in marriage to Cindy Fearing at the Sauk Centre United Methodist Church in Sauk Centre. Darrell's favorite hobbies were fishing, hunting, and playing golf. Some of his favorite times were on his annual hunting and fishing trips to Canada and elk hunting in Colorado. He also enjoyed hunting deer and pheasants here in Minnesota.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years Cindy Bodeker of Sauk Centre; daughter, Jody Bodeker of Sauk Centre; sisters, Bonny (Dennis) Marcyes of Long Prairie, Janet (Leon) Trattles of Annandale, and Denise Bodeker of Melrose; brother, David (Barb) Bodeker of Sauk Centre; sister-in-law, Carla Bodeker of Melrose; and brother-in-law, Romaine Joarnt of Sauk Centre.
Darrell was preceded in death by his daughter Stacey Bodeker in 1998 and stillborn daughter, Mindy in 1980; parents; sister, Sharon Joarnt; and brother, Dean Bodeker.
