Daniel E. Warboys, age 61 of Sauk Centre, died Saturday, October 6, 2007 at the Mother of Mercy Nursing Home in Albany, Minnesota after a long battle with cancer.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, October 12 at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Sauk Centre with Rev. Carlyn Cole officiating. Military honors will be provided by the George H. Elliott VFW Post 7902 of Osakis. Inurnment will be in Riverview Cemetery in Chelan, Washington.
Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home in Sauk Centre.
Daniel Warboys was born June 3, 1946 in Spokane, Washington to Ivan and Ruth (Jansen) Warboys. He grew up in the Chelan, Washington area and served in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam. He then resided in Libby, Montana and Moses Lake, Washington. Since 2004 he had resided in Sauk Centre, where he had been employed by Boyer Motor Company and Standard Iron.Daniel was a member of the George H. Elliott VFW Post 7902 of Osakis.
Survivors include two children, Holly Warboys and Hans Warboys, both of Libby, Montana; one grandson, Dakota Warboys; sisters and brothers, Ileta and Linus Meyer of Meire Grove, Lavern and Rosemary Shaw of Grand Island, Nebraska, Rita and Adolf Ohle of Republican City, Nebraska, and Ila Jean and William Wood of Lincoln, Nebraska; niece and nephew, Rachel Bridewell of Glenwood and Clinton and Joy Bridewell of Garrison; aunts and uncles, Bea Karr and Ora and Eloise Jansen, all of Wenatchee, Washington.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
