Cleone I. "Cleo" Ahrens, age 79 of Sauk Centre died Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at the St. Michael's Hospital in Sauk Centre, Minnesota.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 27 at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Sauk Centre with Rev. Ken Riedemann officiating. Interment will follow the lunch at St. Marcus Cemetery in Clear Lake, Minnesota.
Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the church in Sauk Centre.
Cleone Ivetta Dwenger was born November 28, 1932 in Algona, Iowa to Ben and Laura (Dwenger) Rahm. On October 27, 1979 she married Anthony "Tony" Ahrens at St. Anthony of Padua Church in Padua, Minnesota. She resided in Sauk Centre where she worked for John Wiese Ford as a book keeper.
She enjoyed gardening, playing cards, crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, fishing, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include her children, Diane (Rick) Haskamp of Sauk Centre and Lynnette (Ronald) Schmitz of Sauk Centre; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; sister, Ila "Bernie" (Darrell) Smiley of Cleveland, MN; and 16 nieces and nephews.
Cleo was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Tony Ahrens; and sister, Lois Christiansen; and brother, James Dwenger.
Serving as casket bearers will be Justin, Brian, Matthew, Travis and Christopher Schmitz and Lacey Haskamp. Gift bearers will be Mona and Mark Smiley.
