Clarine H. Stalberger, age 86 of Meire Grove, passed away surrounded by her family on Thursday, October 28, 2021 at CentraCare Care Center in Sauk Centre, Minnesota.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, November 4 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Meire Grove with Rev. Marvin Enneking officiating. Inurnment will be in the parish cemetery.
Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the church.
Clarine Hildegard Marthaler was born September 25, 1935, in Grove Township, Stearns County, Minnesota to Alphonse and Dorothy (Imdieke) Marthaler. She was united in marriage to Cyril Stalberger on July 20, 1957, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Meire Grove. Clarine worked as a cook/bartender at a local establishment in Meire Grove for 40 years. She was famous for her homemade bread and chocolate chip oatmeal cookies. She enjoyed playing bingo, and attending the annual classmate get together.
Clarine was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Christian Mothers, Catholic United Financial, and Lake Henry American Legion Post 612 Auxiliary.
Survivors include her daughters, Bev (Chuck) Winter of Greenwald and Sandy (Joe) Worms of Glenwood; five grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; brother, Melvin Marthaler of Cold Spring; and sister, Janice (Wil) Kalstrom of St. Cloud.
Clarine was preceded in death by her husband, Cyril Stalberger on October 27, 1984; parents; brother, Denis Marthaler; sisters, Lavina Walz and Dorothy Lembeck; brothers-in-law, Leander “Lindy” Walz, and Allen Lembeck; and sister-in-law, Lucille Marthaler.
Serving as urn bearer will be Josh Worms. Cross bearer will be Missy Swenson and the scripture bearer will be Mitchell Worms. Reader will be Mitchell Worms. Gift bearers will be Derek and Brandon Worms. Eucharistic Minister will be Jim Leukam.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Centra Care Hospice in Sauk Centre, MN.
