Clarice L. Erickson, age 97, of Grey Eagle, died Wednesday, July 18, 2007 at the Long Prairie Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, July 23 at First Baptist Church in Long Prairie with Rev. Rodger Schmidt officiating. Interment will be at Moses Dane Cemetery in Burtrum.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Grey Eagle and from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the church in Long Prairie.

Clarice Erickson was born September 20, 1909 in Grey Eagle, Minnesota to Burton and Anna (Marty) Barry. On December 5, 1931 she married Chris Erickson in Long Prairie. She was a homemaker all her life. She enjoyed flowers, reading the bible, and caring for her family. Clarice was a member of Faith Community Church in Burtrum.

Survivors include her children, Donald Erickson of Cloquet, Dean Erickson and his wife, Annette of Grand Marsh, WI, Lloyd Erickson and his wife, Shirley of Cottage Grove, Harold Erickson and his wife, Linda of Bethel, Audrey Stevens and her husband, Ken of Long Prairie, and Norma Niemeyer and Howard Carry of Browerville; 27 grandchildren, 60 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Evelyn Nordin of Litchfield.

Clarice was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Chris Erickson on November 21, 1991; son Lamoine Erickson; grandson, Steve Erickson; sisters, Inez Pogatchnik, Lois Pogatchnik, and Doris Johnson; and daughter-in-law, Dona Erickson.

Serving as casket bearers will be Bradley Erickson, Dan Erickson, Jay Tesch, Kurt Niemeyer, Lisa Erickson, Pam Graveen, and Melinda Bruder. Honorary bearers will be Clarice's grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Central Todd County Care Center 407 Highway 71 East Clarissa, MN 56440.
