Clarence B. Hoppe, age 75 of Sauk Centre, died Tuesday, August 22 at St. Michael's Hospital in Sauk Centre, Minnesota.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, August 25 at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Sauk Centre. Rev. Todd Schneider will officiate with interment following in St. Rose of Lima Cemetery in St. Rosa.
Friends may call 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Sauk Centre.
Clarence Hoppe was born April 17, 1931 in Millwood Township, Stearns County, Minnesota to Henry and Agnes (Stoermann) Hoppe.Clarence was a special needs person who spent his early childhood years on the family farm near St. Rosa. He then moved to a care facility in Redwood Falls where he spent his teenage and early adult life. He then moved to Sauk Centre where he was employed by WACOSA. For the past four years he had resided at St. Michael's Nursing Home. He was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church of Sauk Centre. Clarence will fondly be remembered for his harmonica and accordion playing skills and his love for country music. He was a neat and well dressed person whose infectious laugh could always be heard.
Survivors include his sister, Dolores Kleve of Albany; sisters-in-law, Florentine Hoppe of St. Cloud, Agnes Hoppe of St. Paul and Dorothy VanHeel of Freeport; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Bernard, Wilfred, Lawrence, Alphonse and Ambrose Hoppe; sisters, Angela Muellner and Oswalda Muellner.
Serving as casket bearers will be Duane Kleve, Joyce Middendorf, Ervin, David and Walter Muellner and David Douvier.
