Clara C. "Tuddy" Kochmann, age 91 of Sauk Centre, formerly of Elrosa, died Monday, March 23, 2009 at St. Michael's Nursing Home in Sauk Centre, Minnesota.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 27 at Saints Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Elrosa. Rev. Jeff Ethen will officiate with private inurnment at the parish cemetery.

Friends may call from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Friday at the church in Elrosa.

Clara Felling was born August 11, 1917 in Lake George Township, Stearns County, Minnesota to Barney and Catherine (Schneider) Felling. On October 9, 1940 she married Edwin "Plug" Kochmann at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Belgrade, Minnesota. The couple resided in Elrosa. For a number of years, Tuddy & Plug owned and operated Tuddy's Ceramics in Elrosa. She was also a cook at the Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa Elementary School in Elrosa. She moved to Riverview Manor in Sauk Centre in 2004 and since November, 2008 had resided at St. Michael's Nursing Home.

Tuddy was a member of Saints Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Elrosa, Christian Mothers, and TEC 103. She enjoyed quilting, cross stitching, flower gardening and spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include five children, Mary Kay (Jim) Dolan of Cold Spring, Virginia Lang of Sanborn, Susan Kochmann of Minneapolis, Becky (Joe) Eibensteiner of Sauk Centre, and George (Brenda) Kochmann of Paynesville; 12 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edwin Kochmann on January 3, 1977; sons, Thomas and Mark; brothers, Harry, Ed, George, Mike, Albert, and Anthony Felling; sisters, Cecelia "Ceil" Goltz, Tillie Claseman, and Marie Eckberg.

Serving as casket bearers will be Nicole Knight, Lynn Antil, Kate Wright, Ann Noonan, Carla Scott and Kelly Dolan. Cross bearer will be Kim Lang and honorary bearers will be the Christian Mothers.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St. Michael's Nursing Home.
