Charles A. "Chuck" Weisbrich, age 71 of Sauk Centre and formerly of Farmington, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, October 7, 2016 at the CentraCare Health Hospital in Sauk Centre, Minnesota.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 13 at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Sauk Centre with Rev. Marty Porter officiating. A private inurnment will be held at a later date at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Charles Anthony Weisbrich was born January 26, 1945 in Farmington, Minnesota to Charles and Mary (Tutewohl) Weisbrich. He graduated from Xavier High School in Dyersville, Iowa in 1963. He attended Loras College in Dubuque for 2 years, and then the University of Minnesota. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1966 to 1970. After discharging from the Air Force, he worked for Dakota County in Hastings for 34 years. Chuck enjoyed spending time on his computer, doing artwork, photography, and traveling to Texas in the winter.
Chuck is preceded in death by parents, Charles and Mary; brothers, Robert and James. Survivors include his wife, Marcia Weisbrich of Sauk Centre; children, Charles (Melissa) of Spring Branch, Texas, Susan Masoner of New Braunfels, Texas, stepdaughters, Stacy (Tony) House of Farmington and Alissa (Eric) Gehrke of Randolph; grandchildren, Trevor Stotko, Anni Weisbrich, Joel and Abby Gehrke; great granddaughter, Lily; sisters, Priscilla (Wayne) Medcraft, Linda (Kenny) Johnson; sister-in-law, Sandy Weisbrich; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Donations to the Minnesota Lions would be preferred in lieu of flowers for memorials.
