Charlene J. "Char" Meagher, age 54, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at her home in Grey Eagle, Minnesota.

Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 5 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Grey Eagle. Inurnment will be in the parish cemetery.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday and from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the church in Grey Eagle. Parish prayers will be at 7 p.m. Sunday evening.

Charlene Jean Berscheit was born December 6, 1955 in Melrose, Minnesota to Bernard and Lourdine (Heinen) Berscheit. She graduated from Grey Eagle High School and from Alexandria Technical College. On September 14, 1974 she married Michael Meagher at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Grey Eagle. Char was employed at Stearns Manufacturing in Grey Eagle for over 30 years. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Grey Eagle. Char enjoyed watching sports, gardening, sewing, cooking and being with her family.

Survivors include her husband, Mike Meagher of Grey Eagle; mother, Lourdine Berscheit of Grey Eagle; brothers and sister, Doni (Julie) Berscheit of Grey Eagle, Rod (Cindy) Berscheit of Sauk Centre, Gary (Kelly) Berscheit of Becker and Cindy (Scott) Hiltner of St. Cloud; nieces and nephews, Meagan, Dustin, Brittany, Alexis, Trent, Mikki and Corey Berscheit and Amy Hiltner; great-niece, Kasen Berscheit; mother and father-in-law, Robert and Erma Meagher of Melrose; brother-in-law, Brad (Rose) Meagher of Mesa, AZ; nephew and nieces, Brian (Kelly) Meagher, Jodi (Guy) Tieman and Kim (Matt) Marble; great-nieces and nephews, Cassadee and Cammie Meagher, Tanner and Breanna Tieman, MacKenzie and Ayden Marble.

Char was preceded in death by her father, Bernard Berscheit.

Serving as urn bearer will be Mikki Berscheit. Serving as cross bearer will be Nick Berscheit and scripture bearer will be Meagan Berscheit. Gift bearers will be nieces and nephews. Reader will be Bill Berscheit. Honorary bearers will be the Grey Eagle Fire Department.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
