Celine T. Caspers, 72, of Meire Grove died Wed. October 6, 2004 at North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, October 9, 2004 at St. John's Catholic Church in Meire Grove with Rev. Ronald Dockendorf officiating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.

Friends may call Friday from 4 to 9 p.m. at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Melrose and Saturday at the church from 10 to 11 a.m. Parish prayers will be 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Celine Caspers was born Nov. 2, 1931 in Grove Township, Stearns County, Minnesota to John B. and Fredericka (Macke) Imdieke. She graduated from Melrose High School and later worked at the Mary Ann Shop in Sauk Centre. She was married to Alcuin W. Caspers on Feb. 13, 1960 at Meire Grove. She was the beloved mother of 6 children. Her joys in life included being with family and friends, biking, playing piano, harvesting apples, and quilting. She was honored to be a member of the St. John's Church and choir in Meire Grove for over 50 years. She was also a member of St. Mary's Society and the Holy Rosary Society. Celine found much joy recently in working for McDonald's. Her love for people was obvious.

Survivors include her husband, Alcuin Caspers of Meire Grove; children, Mark Caspers of Melrose, Karen Sadlowsky (Bill) of Becker, Cheryl Johnson (Steve) of Duluth, Janelle Oberst (Brian) of Minneapolis, Lisa Martin (Don) of Bemidji, Carla James (Jonathan) of Stillwater; 11 grandchildren, Dan, Nikki, and Matt Sadlowsky, Mitchell and Madeline Johnson, Henry and Joseph Oberst, Ella and Kate Martin, and Isabel and Elliot James; sisters and brothers, Agnes Imdieke of Meire Grove, Mildred Gans (Roger) of Sauk Centre, Irene Mergen (George) of Waite Park, Fred Imdieke (Margie) of Melrose, Sister Alice Imdieke of Albany, Doris Ethen (Albert) of St. Cloud, Richard F. Imdieke of Meire Grove, Aloysius Imdieke (Sandy) of Marquette, MI, and sister-in-law, Margaret Breitbach (Herbert) of Elrosa.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, John Imdieke.

Casket bearers will be Dan Sadlowsky, William Sadlowsky, Steve Johnson, Brian Oberst, Don Martin, Jonathan James and Mark Caspers. Pall bearer will be Mitchell Johnson. Cross bearer will be Nikki Sadlowsky. Scripture bearer will be Madeline Johnson. Honorary bearers will be Barb Frieler, Lorraine Imdieke, Virginia Nathe, Darlene Kulzer, Emily Schneider, Joni Imdieke, Sharon Imdieke, Gloria Schneider and Millie Kulzer.
