Carol Streitz

Carol L. Streitz, age 72 died after a 13 year battle with cancer on Wednesday, June 22, 2011 surrounded by her family at her home in Sauk Centre, Minnesota.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 25 at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Sauk Centre with Rev. Todd Schneider officiating.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at church.

Carol Louise Christo was born March 4, 1939 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Orville and Norma (Fairbanks) Christo. On November 9, 1957 she married Jerome A. Streitz at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Carol was a long time employee of Minneapolis Honeywell as well as a union shop steward. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was loving and helpful to everyone.

Carol was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church and Teamsters Local 1145.

Carol is survived by her husband of 53 years, Jerome Streitz, Sr. of Sauk Centre; sons, Michael Streitz of Minneapolis, Jerome Streitz, Jr. of Sauk Centre, and Paul Streitz of Sauk Centre; grandsons, Jerome Streitz, III and Alex Streitz; and sister, Donna (Curt Folstad) Fairbanks of The White Earth Indian Reservation, Langby, Minnesota.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Beverly Stachowski.

Serving as casket bearers will be Jerry Streitz III, Alex Streitz, Larry DeForrest, Curt Folstad, Craig Folstad and Richard Stachowski.
