Carl F. Neuberger, age 89, of Sauk Centre, died on Monday, November 21, 2006 at St. Michael's Nursing Home in Sauk Centre, Minnesota.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, November 24 at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Sauk Centre. Inurnment is at St. Mary's Cemetery in Long Prairie, Minnesota.
Friends may call Friday from 9:30 to 10 a.m. at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Sauk Centre.
Carl F. Neuberger was born on April 24, 1917 in Ellis, Kansas to John and Francis (Weber) Neuberger. He attended school in Long Prairie Township, Todd County, Minnesota. On November 15, 1939 he married Irene M. Gothman at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Long Prairie. The couple lived in Long Prairie until they moved to Little Falls in 1950, where Carl worked as a salesman for a vending company. In 1968 they moved to Grey Eagle, and to Sauk Centre in 1974. Carl worked at Kraft Foods for 11 years and during that time he was also the maintenance person for Riverview Manor. The couple moved to Melrose in 1987. After the death of his wife, Carl moved back to Sauk Centre.Carl was a member of Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church in Sauk Centre. He enjoyed carpentry and fishing; and especially loved spending time with his family and grandchildren.
Survivors include his children, Sharon Lenger of Hawley and Jeff (Carla) Neuberger of Belle Fourche, South Dakota; brothers and sisters, Isey Ostendorf of Grey Eagle, Joe (Donna) Neuberger of Cambridge, Ann (Bernie) Ellering of Minneapolis, Rudy (Peggy) Neuberger of Fergus Falls, Josie Slack of California and Bob Neuberger of Yuma, Arizona; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Irene M. Neuberger on December 14, 1995; brother and sisters, John Neuberger, Mary Clendenin, Bertha Grunke and Helen Schweigert.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
