Brennen J. Hoppe, age 18 of New Munich, died unexpectedly on Monday, November 20, 2017 in Grey Eagle Township, Todd County, Minnesota.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, November 27 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in New Munich with Rev. Daniel Walz officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church in New Munich. Parish prayers will be held at 5 p.m. Sunday evening at the church.
Brennen James Hoppe was born February 4, 1999 in Melrose, Minnesota to James and Theresa (Miles) Hoppe. He graduated from Melrose High School in 2017. After graduation, Brennen worked as an electrician for Melrose Electric. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in New Munich. Brennen enjoyed hunting and dirt biking, but his passion was baseball. He loved playing ball with his friends from the Pee-Wee, Little League, Legion teams, and most recently, the New Munich SilverStreaks baseball team.
Survivors include his father, Jim Hoppe of New Munich; mother, Theresa Hoppe of Paynesville; grandparents, Rich and Flossie Hoppe of New Munich, and Rick and Jan Leyendecker of Paynesville; and aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Serving as casket bearers will be Alex Engelmeyer, Anthony Santana, Johnny Roth, Dillan Hoppe, Ty Reller, and Pat Nathe. Cross bearer will be Courtney Althaus and scripture bearer will be Erika Hoppe. Honorary bearers will be the New Munich SilverStreaks baseball team.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
