Beverly Heideman

Beverly A. Heideman, age 88 of Sauk Centre, died peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, April 25, 2019 at Tree of Life Assisted Living in New Munich, Minnesota.

A Memorial Service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, May 2 at First Lutheran Church in Sauk Centre with Rev. Mike Carlson officiating. Inurnment will be at Kandota Township Cemetery at a later date.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Sauk Centre and from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the church.

Beverly Ann Yager was born April 1, 1931 in Albany, Minnesota to George and Alice (Siemering) Yager. She graduated from Sauk Centre High School and continued her education at Macalester College graduating with a teaching degree. She married Eugene Heideman on October 10, 1964 at United Church of Christ in Sauk Centre. Beverly taught kindergarten for a span of 14 years in Virginia, Minnesota, Great Falls, Montana, and Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She lived in Brookfield, Wisconsin for 30 years before moving to Minnesota. After the birth of her two sons, she resigned from teaching and was a stay at home mother. Bev volunteered much of her time at Elmbrook School District Libraries.  After her husband retired, the couple relocated to Fairy Lake.

Beverly was a member of First Lutheran Church in Sauk Centre, Christ the King in Brookfield, Wisconsin, and Our Father in Rockford, Minnesota. She enjoyed cooking gourmet meals, reading, Bible studies, and Classical Music; her favorite artist being Van Cliburn. She also enjoyed making homemade seasonal and birthday cards for friends and family. Her artwork and scrapbooking consisted of different patterns of paper and envelopes, unique ribbons, and an assortment of doilies.

Survivors include sons, George Heideman of Sauk Centre, Kurt (Rhonda) Heideman of Rogers; granddaughters, Emily Adams, Haley Anderson, and Grace Heideman; great-grandchild, Karsyn Adams; and many relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Eugene Heideman on November 18, 2011; and daughter-in-law, Christine Heideman in 2002.
