Bernice E. Greener, age 83 of Albany, died unexpectedly on Friday, August 16, 2013 at the St. Cloud Hospital in St. Cloud, Minnesota.
A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, August 23 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Albany with Rev. Bradley Pearson officiating. Inurnment will be in St. John's Cemetery following the lunch.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday at the church in Albany.
Bernice Emma Teske was born November 17, 1929 in Krain Township, Stearns County, Minnesota to Fred and Emma (Schmidt) Teske. On February 12, 1949 she was united in marriage to Albert Greener at St. John's Lutheran Church in Krain Township. Bernice enjoyed her life on the farm as a homemaker. She loved her bible study and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Bernice was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Albany.
Survivors include her children, Glen (Carol) Greener of Albany and Jane Achman of Freeport; grandchildren, Jackie Doubek, Jason Achman, Beth Pallow, Crystal Zeman, Russ Achman, Mike Greener, and Emily Greener; eight great-grandchildren; and sister, Evelyn Groth of Albany.
Bernice was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Greener on July 3, 2013; parents; brothers, Roman Teske, Gordon Teske, and Harold Teske; sister, Florence Gruenwald; and infant sister, Martha Teske.
Serving as honorary bearers will be Jackie Doubek, Jason Achman, Beth Pallow, Crystal Zeman, Russ Achman, Mike Greener, and Emily Greener.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
