Beatrice A. "Beaty" Wensman, age 72 of Melrose, died Friday, May 5, 2017 at the St. Cloud Hospital in St. Cloud, Minnesota.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 11 at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Melrose with Deacon Ernie Kociemba officiating. Inurnment will be at St. Mary's Cemetery in Melrose.

Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home in Melrose.

Beatrice Ann Jacobs was born December 21, 1944 in Melrose, Minnesota to Joseph and Margaret (Eisenschenk) Jacobs. On April 16, 1966, she married LeRoy Wensman at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Melrose. After their marriage, the couple lived in Melrose where she worked various jobs around the community before working at Charlie's Café in Freeport for 30 plus years. The last ten years she resided in Cold Spring.

She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Melrose.

Survivors include her sons, Jeff (Marie) Wensman of Melrose, Rick (Karla) Wensman of Melrose, and Jason Wensman (friend, Toni Nathe) of Sauk Centre; four grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Ashlynn, Trevor, and Courtney Wensman; and sister, Dorine Schwindel of Belgrade.

Beaty was preceded in death by her husband, LeRoy Wensman on June 4, 2006; parents; brothers, Melvin and Harold Jacobs; sister, Elaine Gerads; and her beloved dogs, Cody and Charlie.

Serving as urn bearer will be John Rempfer. Cross bearer will be Ashlynn Wensman and scripture bearer will be Kaitlyn Wensman.
