Audrey Quistorff

Audrey Bernice Strand Quistorff, age 73 of Sauk Centre passed away Friday, January 26, 2007 at St. Michael's Hospital in Sauk Centre, Minnesota.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 31 at First Lutheran Church in Sauk Centre with Rev. Kevin Born officiating. Burial will follow in Silver Creek Cemetery in West Union Township, Todd County, Minnesota.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Sauk Centre and Wednesday at the church from 1 to 2 p.m.

Audrey was born September 29, 1933 to Alvida (Rekkedahl) and Bjorn Strand at the Canby Hospital in Canby, Minnesota. She attended Minneota Public School graduating in 1951. She also attended two years at District 79 during which she stayed at Floyd and Agnes Hettling's home. Audrey attended Bible College one year and then worked at the Nursing Home in Beresord, South Dakota and worked as a secretary at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Beresford. She attended one year at a Lutheran College in Iowa. She was baptized at St. Paul's Icelandic Church and confirmed at Hope Lutheran Church, both of Minneota. She was employed by Kranz Oil as a secretary in 1959. Audrey was united in marriage to John D. Quistorff on November 22, 1960. To this union they had four children, Paul, Mark, Donald and Karen. She enjoyed her hobbies of quilting and crafts. She also enjoyed bingo and playing cards, baking; and also letter writing since 1949. She was a member of First Lutheran Church in Sauk Centre.

Survivors include her husband, John Quistorff of Sauk Centre; children, Paul (Shannon) of Zephyr Hills, Florida, Mark (Nancy) of West Union, Donald (Doreen) of Nerstrand and Karen of Sauk Centre; sisters-in-law, Dolly Dhaese of Florida and Iona Dhaese of Washington; and five grandchildren, Nikki and Jordan Brennan, Derek Quistorff, Alissa Quistorff and Breanna Quistorff.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Alvida in 1941; father, Bjorn in 1981; two brothers, Jerry in 1985 and Joe in 1992; niece, Debra in 1953 at the age of two; and nephew, Jessie in 1992.
