Arlene I. Stumpf, age 63, of Grey Eagle, died Sunday, December 2, 2007 at the Long Prairie Memorial Nursing Home in Long Prairie, Minnesota.
Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 6 at the Word of Life Lutheran Church in Upsala with Rev. Jon Benson officiating. Interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Grey Eagle and one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.
Arlene Stumpf was born November 14, 1944 in Alexandria, Minnesota to Axel and Lucille (Borgert) Nelson. On January 29, 1968 she married Ronald J. Stumpf at St. John's Lutheran Church in Grey Eagle, Minnesota. Arlene resided in Grey Eagle, until entering the Long Prairie Memorial Nursing Home on July 8, 1998.She was a member of Word of Life Lutheran Church in Upsala, Minnesota. Her hobbies included painting, crafts, woodworking, and going to flea markets. Arlene especially loved spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include her husband, Ronald Stumpf Sr. of Melrose; children, Lisa (John) Van Heel of Cold Spring, Mark Stumpf, and special friend Sheila Christian of Upsala, David Stumpf, and special friend Sue Oldakowski of Upsala, Scott Stumpf of Melrose, Renee (Ed) Becker of Long Prairie, Ronald (Sara) Stumpf Jr. of Tea, South Dakota; grandchildren, Shane, Emma, Savannah, Tori, Tara, Jessica, Tyler, Harley, Jared, Jonathan, and Isaac; mother, Lucille Nelson; brothers, Tom Nelson, Ken Nelson, and Roger Nelson; sisters, Donna Green, Darlene Green, and Judy Hubbard.
She was preceded in death by father, Axel Nelson and an infant brother.
