Arden R. Lehman, age 79 of Ham Lake, suddenly passed away on Monday, December 31, 2018 at Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids, Minnesota.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, January 7 at River of Life Church in Sauk Centre with Rev. Kyle Peterson officiating. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. Sunday and from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the River of Life Church in Sauk Centre.
Arden Roy Lehman was born November 15, 1939 in Madelia, Minnesota to Arthur and Kathryn (DeWall) Lehman. He graduated from St. James High School. Arden "Sweet Pea" was united in marriage to Mary Bromenschenkel on April 7, 1961 at St. James, Minnesota. He farmed and worked at the Post Office in St. James. The couple moved to Sauk Centre in 1977, where they had a dairy farm and raised their family. Later, Arden and Mary moved to Ham Lake, where he worked for the Post Office until his retirement.
In his retirement Arden enjoyed walking, yard work, watching The Price Is Right, with his headphones on, playing solitaire on the I-pad, scratch-offs, and feeding the birds, but "not the squirrels." He liked to read Consumer Reports Magazine and was very interested in history, airplanes, and cars/trucks.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Mary Lehman of Ham Lake; children, Penny (Richard) Carpenter of Sauk Centre, Myron (Robyn) Lehman of Belton, Texas, Sheryl (Jim) Braun of Sauk Centre, Suzanne (Gordy) Hubert of Sauk Centre, Kurt (Shantil Copeland) Lehman of Albertville, and Kay Lehman of North Charleston, South Carolina; 24 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren, with another due in February; and brother and sister, Karl (Phyllis) Lehman of Madelia and Ardis Moy of Edina.
Arden was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Kathryn Lehman; brother, Albert Lehman; and grandson, Logan Braun.
