April M. Oltmann, age 31 of Sauk Centre, passed away with her family by her side on Friday, May 19, 2017 in Sauk Centre, Minnesota.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 24 at River of Life Church in Sauk Centre with Rev. Kyle Peterson officiating. Inurnment will be held in Greenwood Cemetery following the service. A lunch will be served at ElmerZ in the event center following the inurnment.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday evening at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home and from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday morning at the church.
April Marie Oltmann was born December 14, 1985 in Waconia, Minnesota to Bradley and Joyce (Neubarth) Oltmann. She was baptized at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Glencoe on January 19, 1986 and was confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church in Sauk Centre on May 7, 2000. April and her family moved to Sauk Centre in 1996 and she attended Sauk Centre High School. She worked at the Truck Stop until her first child was born and became a stay at home mom. April also worked at ElmerZ as a cook and waitress. She lived in Nelson, Minnesota for nine years and returned to Sauk Centre in January 2016. April was diagnosed with cancer in May 2014 and fought a very courageous fight until the end.
April loved spending time with her family and friends. She always spoiled her nieces and nephews like they were her own. April was always the life of the party and the "jokester" in the family. There was always laughter when she was around.
Survivors include her fiancé, Jason Ebensteiner of Sauk Centre; daughters, Isabella and Emma Ebensteiner of Sauk Centre; parents, Brad and Joyce Oltmann of Sauk Centre; sisters, Tracy (Dirk) Crider of Sauk Centre, Jessica (Ed) Anttila of Crosby, Melissa (Scott) Amorim of Gaylord; Brittany (Erik) Johnson of Bertha; mother-in-law to be, Laura Muehlenhardt of Sauk Centre; sister-in-law to be, Jackie (Luke) Nicolay of Osakis; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her aunt, Wanda Lieder; grandpa, Hilton Oltmann; grandparents, Helen and Arnold Neubarth, and her daughter's grandfather, Thomas Ebensteiner.
