Anthony Metzger

Anthony J. Metzger, age 69 of Sauk Rapids died Saturday, December 4, 2004 at the Country Manor in Sartell, Minnesota.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 7 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in New Munich, with the Rev. Roger Klassen, OSB officiating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.

Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church in New Munich.

Anthony Metzger was born January 11, 1935 in Oak Township, Stearns County, Minnesota to Raymond J. and Eleanore (Kulzer) Metzger. He graduated from Melrose High School in 1955 and attended St. John's Prep School. Tony has lived in Sauk Rapids for the past 28 years. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sauk Rapids. Tony enjoyed watching baseball and football on TV as well as listening to old records.

Survivors include his sisters, Charlene Dols (Jerry) of Richmond, Sister Gabriel Metzger, OSC of Sauk Rapids, Linda Metzger - Lane (Kim) of Shoreview; brother, Jim Metzger of McIntosh; and sister-in-law, Gladys Metzger of New Munich.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Alcuin Metzger.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
