Anna M. Dumont, age 68, of Freeport died Thursday, March 17, 2005 peacefully at her home after a lengthy battle with illness.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Monday, March 21, 2005 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Freeport with Rev. Julius Beckermann, OSB officiating. Burial will take place 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 22, 2005 with Rev. Roger Klassen, OSB officiating at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, MN.

Friends may call Sunday from 4 to 9 p.m. and Monday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Freeport. Golden Years Senior Citizens and Christian Mothers will pray at 4 p.m. followed by VFW Auxiliary at 7 p.m. and parish prayers at 8 p.m. Sunday at the church.

Anna Dumont was born April 21, 1936 in Albany, MN to John and Anna (Novack) Froelich. She married Donatus L. Dumont on May 12, 1956 at Albany, MN. They were lifetime residents of Freeport. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Christian Mothers and the Schanhaar-Otte VFW Post 7050 Auxiliary. Anna enjoyed quilting, sewing, gardening, baking, visiting with her grandchildren, collecting new state quarters, watching Timberwolves basketball games, bird watching and taking care of pets, Saddie and Star.

Survivors include her children, Linus Dumont (Leisa) of Hamilton, OH, Thomas Dumont (Claudia) of Sartell, and Joyce Bassimakopoulos; five grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Mike Froelich (Eleanor) of Albany, John Froelich (Norma) of Hawick, Josephine Sadlowsky (Earl) of Avon, Jenny Dumont of Freeport, Alma Altman and Margaret Altman of Wait Park; and friend of the family, Eddie Lahr of Freeport.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Donatus Dumont on Dec. 9, 1986; brothers and sister, Louis, Frank, Melvin and Andrew Froelich and Rita Willenbring.

Serving as casket bearers will be Thomas, Linus and Dean Dumont, Edwin Lahr, Cory Pitzer and Dan Willenbring. Cross bearer will be Ryan Dumont and scripture bearer will be Marianna Bassimakopoulos.
