Ann T. Jager, age 81, of Sauk Centre died unexpectedly Tuesday, May 18, 2004 at her home.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at St. Paul's Catholic Church, Sauk Centre with Rev. Todd Schneider officiating. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Sauk Centre.
Friends may call Thursday from 3:30 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 1 to 2 p.m. at St. Paul's Catholic Church, Sauk Centre. Sauk Centre Seniors will pray at 4 p.m. followed by St. Theresa's Mission Group at 4:30 p.m., parish prayers at 5:15 p.m., United Auxiliaries of Sauk Centre at 7 p.m., and Christian Mothers at 7:30 p.m. at the church on Thursday.
Ann Jager was born on January 17, 1923 in Sauk Centre, Minnesota to John and Katherine (Moritz) Wolbeck. She married Norbert M. Jager on June 20, 1945 at St. Paul's Catholic Church. She has resided in Sauk Centre all her life. Ann was employed by the Burger Hut for a number of years and later worked at Jim's Jack & Jill Bakery for many years. She took great pride in her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Ann enjoyed her card playing club, dining out, bicycling, traveling, and quilting. Ann would like you to know she'll be quilting straight stitches and sipping on fuzzy navels in heaven. She was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church, Christian Mothers, Sauk Centre Seniors, St. Theresa's Mission Group, VFW Auxiliary, and a former member of Mater Dolorosa.
Survivors include her children, Peter Jager (Susan) of Long Prairie, Paul Jager (Lucy) of Waseca, Philip Jager (Patricia) of Spicer, Josephine Kerfeld (Lee) of Sauk Centre, Judy Pieper of Carlos, and Jean Otte of Sauk Centre; 19 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Norbert Jager on April 8, 1994; brothers and sister, Frank, Aloys, John and Chris Wolbeck, and Lorraine Johnson.
Casket bearers will be her grandsons, Nick, Ben, Joe, and Trevor Jager, Dean and Kelly Kerfeld, Steven Pieper, and Zach Otte. Cross bearer will be Sammantha Zanda and scripture bearer will be Stacy Karolus. Honorary bearers are all of Ann's friends.
