Ann M. "Anne" Anderson, age 54, of Melrose, died peacefully on Thursday, August 24, 2006 surrounded by her family, after a long illness at the St. Cloud Hospital.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, August 28 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Melrose with Rev. Vince Lieser officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday and from 8 to 10 a.m. Monday at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Melrose. Parish prayers will be at 7 p.m. Sunday evening.

Ann Anderson was born August 7, 1952 in St. Cloud, Minnesota to Raymond and Gladys (Winkelman) Roske. She married Robert "Bob" Anderson on May 27, 1972 in Superior, Wisconsin. Ann was a local business owner and she enjoyed volunteering at St. Mary's School. Ann played guitar and sang with her family at St. Mary's Church and at the Pine Villa Nursing Home. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Melrose.

She is survived by her devoted and loving husband, Robert "Bob" Anderson of Melrose; daughters, Jennifer Anderson (Rhonda Albers) of Montrose, and Jessica Anderson-Thiesen of St. Cloud; Ann loved her two grandsons, Zackary Anderson-Thiesen and Kadin Anderson; parents, Raymond and Gladys Roske of Sartell; brothers and sisters, Gary Roske (Amy) of St. Cloud, Robert "Bob" Roske (Pam) of Melrose, Mary Roske-Groth (David) of Brooklyn Center, Bonnie Roske of St. Cloud, Kevin Roske of Sauk Rapids, Mark Roske of Plymouth; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, friends, and neighbors.

Ann was preceded in death by her grandparents, Henry and Loretta Winkelman and Joseph and Elizabeth Roske.

Serving as casket bearers will be Edward Hawthorne, Randall Linn, Dave Roske-Groth, Jimmy Callaway, Jr., Rhonda Albers, and Trenton Roske.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
