Angeline B. "Angie" Arnzen, age 67 of Melrose died peacefully Sunday, October 31, 2004 at her home.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 3 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Melrose with Rev. Vincent Lieser officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 8 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Melrose. Parish prayers will be at 7 p.m. followed by St. Elizabeth's Society at 8 p.m. Tuesday evening.
Angeline Arnzen was born November 11, 1936 in Millwood Township, Stearns County, Minnesota to August and Theresa (Stoermann) Herdering. She was united in marriage to Virgil A. Arnzen on August 19, 1959 in St. Rosa. She was a homemaker all her life. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Melrose and St. Elizabeth's Society. She enjoyed fishing, gardening, growing flowers, visiting with family and friends and teasing her granddaughters and great granddaughters.
Survivors include her children, Ruth Wieling and her husband, Norman of New Munich, Bob Arnzen and his wife, Bonnie of St. Rosa, Charles Arnzen of Melrose and Daniel Arnzen of Melrose; five grandchildren, Cindy Heinen and her husband, Matt, Nicky, Emilea, Sadie and Anna Arnzen; two great granddaughters, Rose and Abbygail Heinen; brothers and sisters, Marie Wielenberg and her husband, Joe of Melrose, Anna Hellermann and her husband, Elmer of St. Rosa, Alvin Herdering and his wife, Carol of St. Rosa, Ambrose Herdering and his wife, Bertha of St. Rosa, Joe Herdering and his wife, Kathy of St. Rosa, Alfred Herdering and his wife, Marlene of St. Rosa; and sister-in-law, Doris Herdering of St. Rosa
Angeline was preceded in death by her parents, August and Theresa Herdering; husband, Virgil Arnzen on September 2, 2001; brother, Bernard "Ben" Herdering; and great grandson, Nathaneal Heinen on July 28, 2001.
Serving as casket bearers will be Ervin Herdering, Ronald Herdering, Don Hellermann, Dale Hellermann, Matt Heinen and Pat Wielenberg. Cross bearer will be Emilea Arnzen and Nicky Wieling will be scripture bearer.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
