Amandus "Mandy" Polipnick, 97 of St. Cloud, formerly of Sauk Centre died on Wednesday, April 9, 2003 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Sauk Rapids, Minnesota.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday at Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Sauk Centre with interment following in Greenwood Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home in Sauk Centre. Rev. Janet Gwin from Boch, MN will officiate the funeral service and Rev. Todd Schneider will officiate the graveside service.

Mandy was born on August 9, 1905 in St. Cloud, Minnesota to Matthew and Maria (Friedrichs) Polipnick. He married Lena Kircher on March 9, 1956 in Alexandria, Minnesota. He attended school in St. Cloud and graduated in 1927 from the School of Engineering in Omaha, Nebraska. Mandy was employed by City Service Oil Company for 32 years.

He is survived by his wife, Lena Polipnick; daughter, Janet Olberding of Minneapolis; son, Tony "Beaver" Polipnick and his wife, Brenda of Milaca; two step children, John Murch and his wife, Jan of Sauk Centre; Judy "Dee Dee" Murch of St. Cloud and several grandchildren.

Mandy was preceded in death by his parents, Matthew and Maria Polipnick; his first wife, Helen; five brothers; one sister and his grandson, Steve Olberding.

Casketbearers will be Dick Engle, Dick and Bob Polipnick and Roger Hendrickson.
