Alvina F. Gamradt, age 83 of Sauk Centre, died Sunday, September 18, 2005 at St. Michael's Hospital in Sauk Centre.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, September 22 at Zion Lutheran Church. Rev. Steve Hayden will officiate with interment following in Greenwood Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Sauk Centre and from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the church.
Alvina was born to Richard and Vera (McDougle) Farrow on December 20, 1921 in Melrose Township, Stearns County, Minnesota. On September 20, 1941 she married Earl Gamradt at Zion Lutheran Church in Sauk Centre. They farmed east of Sauk Centre until 1970 when their son, Albert, took over the farm.Alvina was an avid gardener and loved flowers. She furnished flowers to her church, Zion Lutheran, for over 40 years and was a member of the Ladies Aid Society.
Survivors include four sons, Kenneth (friend, Gail Nelson) Gamradt, Robert (Cele) Gamradt, Gary (Shari) Gamradt and Mark (Karen) Gamradt, all of Sauk Centre; thirteen grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; brother, Russell Farrow of Burtrum; sister, Edith Gamradt of Sauk Centre; and special friend, Harry Gamradt of Sauk Centre.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Vera (McDougle) Farrow; husband, Earl Gamradt on November 25, 1987; son, Albert Gamradt; brothers, Clyde, Floyd and Robert Farrow; sister, Lillian Gamradt; four grandchildren; and daughter-in-law, Julie (Pyles) Gamradt.
Serving as casket bearers will be her grandsons, Wayne, Jeff, Brent, Terry, Shawn, Ryan and Josh Gamradt, Doug, Eric and Kurt Miller. Honorary bearers will be her granddaughters, Missy Knopik, Renee Knish and Amber Gamradt and the Zion Lutheran Ladies Aid.
