Alphonse "Alphie" Malley, Jr.

Alphonse A. “Alphie” Malley, Jr., age 47 of Albany, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with cancer on Thursday, October 28, 2021 at his home in Albany Township, Stearns County, Minnesota.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 2 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in St. Anthony (rural Albany) with Rev. Julius Beckermann, O.S.B. officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.

Visitation will be held at the church from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, November 1st, and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 2nd, at the church.

Alphonse Andrew Malley, Jr. was born September 8, 1974 in Albany, Minnesota to Alphonse, Sr. and Lucille (Rakotz) Malley. He was united in marriage to Lynn Massmann on November 18, 2006 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in New Munich. Alphie farmed his entire life on the family farm, helping with chores and eventually running the farm while he was still in high school. He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in St. Anthony.  Alphie enjoyed going to auctions, playing cards, hanging out with his friends, going to dances, and looking at farm equipment. Family and farming were the two most important things in Alphie’s life.

Survivors include his wife, Lynn Malley of Albany; children, Kyle, Missy, Michele, Kelli, and Alex, all at home; sister, Debbie (Scott) Stoermann of St. Rosa; and many nephews and nieces.

Alphie was preceded in death by his parents.

In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred.
