Alphonse J. "Al" Trisko, age 88 of Sauk Centre, died peacefully surrounded by his family Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at CentraCare Health Nursing Home in Sauk Centre, Minnesota.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, November 2 at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Sauk Centre. Rev. Greg Paffel will officiate with interment following in the parish cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Sauk Centre.

Alphonse Joseph Trisko was born March 15, 1925 in Melrose, Minnesota to Carl and Anna (Kemper) Trisko. On June 18, 1946 he married Julianna "Julie" Weber at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Sauk Centre. The couple resided in Sauk Centre and Al was employed as the yard foreman at Lampert Lumber Co. for 35 years, retiring in 1987. From 1988 to 2000 he was a valued part-time employee at Patton-Schad Funeral & Cremation Services, where he assisted the Patton's in many capacities.

Al enjoyed camping and fishing with family and friends. He will be remembered as a woodworker, a great handyman, as well as an honest, loving and caring husband, father and grandfather.

Al was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church, where he was a volunteer funeral usher for many years, Catholic United Financial and a former member of Sauk Centre Seniors.

Survivors include his wife, Julie Trisko of Sauk Centre; two children, Larry (Terry) Trisko of Melrose and Roseann (Darrell) Lewis of Sauk Centre; 15 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; brothers, Raymond (Irene) Trisko, Jerome Trisko, Clarence (Rita) Trisko and Richard (Carol) Trisko, all of Sauk Centre; and sister, Viola Kramer of Alexandria; sister-in-law, Dorothy Trisko of Sauk Centre; son-in-law, Donald Woeste of Melrose; daughters-in-law, Doris Trisko-Kuehne of Avon and Sally Colegrove of Fayetteville, Arkansas.

He was preceded in death by his parents; children, infant Mary Ann, Gene, Ron and Dennis Trisko, and Diane Woeste; brother, Raphael Trisko; and brother-in-law, Frank Kramer.

Serving as casket bearers will be his grandsons, Jamie Duchene, Nick and Brian Trisko, John, Joe and Paul Woeste.
