Alma T. Von Wahlde, age 90 of Sauk Centre, passed away from a break-through Covid 19 infection on Sunday, October 3, 2021 at the CentraCare Hospital in Sauk Centre, Minnesota.
A private Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Sauk Centre with Rev. Robert Harren officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
A public visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Sauk Centre. Due to Covid 19 concerns, the family will not be present for the visitation.
Alma Theresa Voller was born May 22, 1931 in Birchdale Township, Todd County, Minnesota to Anthony “Tony” and Bertha (Rademacher) Voller. She was united in marriage to Richard Von Wahlde on November 11, 1952 at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Ward Springs. After marriage, the couple resided in the Twin Cities and Sauk Centre. In 1959, they returned to farm in Kandota Township, Todd County, Minnesota. Since 2008, Alma has resided in Sauk Centre.
She was a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Sauk Centre, Christian Mothers, and St. Margaret’s Mission Group. Alma enjoyed crocheting doilies, blankets, tablecloths, and table runners.
Survivors include her daughter, Gail (Chad Strunk) Von Wahlde of Plymouth; granddaughter, Jacqueline Strunk; sister and brothers, Erma Ahrens of Osakis, Virgil Voller of Newport, and John (Joan) Voller of Rio Rico, Arizona; sister-in-law, Joan Voller of Sauk Centre; and brother-in-law, Elmer Von Wahlde of Sauk Centre.
Alma was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Von Wahlde on July 16, 2010; parents; brother and sisters, Jerome Voller, Clara Pundsack, and Rita Kalawski.
In lieu of memorials, the family would prefer you to please get vaccinated if you are eligible.
