Allen Tschida

Allen E. Tschida, age 56 of Grey Eagle died on Monday, December 1, 2003 at the St. Cloud Hospital.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday, December 5 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Grey Eagle with Rev Arlie Sowada officiating. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday and one hour prior to the service on Friday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Grey Eagle. Parish prayers will be at 7 p.m. Thursday evening.

Allen E. Tschida was born November 12, 1947 in Round Prairie Township, Todd County, Minnesota to Michael and Rose (Lange) Tschida. He was a member of the St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Grey Eagle. Allen worked at the Kraft plant for several years and later for Jennie-O Foods in Melrose. He had a great love for his horse and enjoyed watching high school sports, especially basketball.

Survivors include his sister-in-law, Theresa J. Tschida of Grey Eagle; 5 nieces, Jeanette (Dale) Lambrecht of Cottage Grove; Rose Ann (Bob) Zinter of Long Prairie; Cindy (Art) Johnson of Grey Eagle; Kathy (Brian) Koester of Little Falls; Sharon (Mike) Navratil of Avon; 5 Nephews, David (Julie) Tschida of St. Stephen; Steven (Kathy) Tschida of Grey Eagle; Tim (Dana) Tschida of Baxter; Tom and Danny Tschida of Grey Eagle.

Allen was preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Rose (Lange) Tschida; and brother, LaVern Tschida.

Serving as casket bearers will be Roger Tschida, Eugene Tschida, Richard Tschida, Isadore Schmitz, Dwayne Harren, and Patrick Meier. Serving as cross bearer will be Tom Tschida and scripture bearer will be Gary Harren.
