Alex Miller

Alex H. Miller, age 85 of Sauk Centre died Wednesday, October 27, 2004 at St. Michael's Hospital in Sauk Centre.

Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 30 at Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church in Sauk Centre with Rev. Todd Schneider officiating. Inurnment will be in St. Paul's Cemetery in Sauk Centre.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church.

Alex Miller was born May 31, 1919 in Getty Township, Stearns County, Minnesota to Henry and Anna (Bromenshankel) Miller. He was united in marriage to Phyllis Majerus September 18, 1947 in Sedan, Minnesota. The couple farmed until 1961. They moved to Sacramento, California where Alex worked as an assembler at Aerojet General. He then worked for Sacramento County Park Service and retired in California in 1980. They moved back to Sauk Centre in 1992. Alex enjoyed woodworking, playing cards and going to flea markets. At the time of his death, Alex was a member of Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church in Sauk Centre.

Survivors include his wife, Phyllis Miller of Sauk Centre; sister-in-law, Florence Miller of Sauk Centre; and several nieces and nephews.

Alex was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Alfred Miller; and sisters, Edwina Flahaven and Viola Kenna.

Serving as urn bearer will be John Miller and cross bearer will be Diane Ewing.
