Albert Van Way

Albert E. Van Way, age 77, of Sauk Centre died Monday, September 19, 2005 at St. Michael's Hospital in Sauk Centre.

A graveside service will be held 11 am Friday, September 23, 2005 at the Minnesota Veterans State Cemetery at Camp Ripley, Little Falls, Minnesota.

Albert Van Way was born July 16, 1928 in Paterson, New Jersey. He served in the U.S. Army and the U.S. Air Force for 26 ó years. He married Merlyn D. Wolfe on March 1, 1952 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Albert retired and they moved to Sauk Centre on November 1, 1968. He was a member of United Methodist Church in Sauk Centre. Albert enjoyed sitting in his lazy chair and watching television.

Survivors include his wife, Merlyn Van Way of Sauk Centre; children, Rhoda M. Nelson of St. Cloud, Linda Lee Selph of Memphis, Tennessee, Albert Van Way, Jr. (Carla) of Kansas City, Missouri; sisters, Doris Van Way of Las Vegas, Nevada and Rhoda Krieger of Miami, Florida; 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
