Agnes M. Theiler, age 94, of Melrose, died Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at the Pine Villa Care Center in Melrose, Minnesota.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, December 31 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Melrose with Rev. Ken Thielman officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
Friends may call from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday and from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Melrose. Christian Mothers will pray at 5 p.m. followed by parish prayers at 6:30 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.
Agnes Mary Weisbrich was born July 27, 1916 in Norwood, Minnesota to Edward and Mary (Buechele) Weisbrich. On April 22, 1940 she was united in marriage to Philip Theiler in St. Anthony.
Agnes was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Melrose, Christian Mothers and the Melrose Senior Citizens.
Survivors include her children, Doreen (Dan) Schwieters of Spring Hill, Carol (James) Litchy of Melrose, and Elaine (Larry) Beuning of Freeport; eight grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; and sister, Gladys Weisbrich of Albany.
Agnes was preceded in death by her husband, Philip Theiler on April 8, 1997; brother, Clemens Weisbrich; and sister, Adeline Sand.
Serving as casket bearers will be Chad Beuning, Dana Beuning, Beth Ann Volk, Amy Brustuen, Karen Rademacher, and Laura Nathe. Cross bearer will be Mary Schwieters and scripture bearer will be Kim Terhaar. Flower bearers will be Dominick Terhaar and Aaron Volk. Mass servers will be John Schwieters, Joseph Schwieters, and Ashley Nathe. Petitions will be read by Alex Volk, Serene and Christian Brustuen, Nicholas, Katelyn, and Tyler Beuning, Brent and Brian Rademacher, Caroline Schwieters, and Diana Nathe. A violin solo will be by Anna Volk.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
