Adeline G. Trisko, age 91 of Melrose died on Sunday, November 9, 2003 at the Melrose Area Hospital in Melrose, Minnesota.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2003 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Melrose with Rev. Ken Theilman officiating and Rev. Vincent Lieser concelebrating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 8 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Melrose. Women's Catholic Order of Foresters and the Schanharr - Otte VFW Post 7050 Auxiliary will pray at 7 p.m. followed by parish prayers at 8 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home in Melrose.
Adeline Trisko was born on January 14, 1912 in Melrose, Minnesota to Frank and Ida (Ramacher) Schneider. She was united in marriage to Edward Trisko on October 7, 1936 at the St. Stephen's Catholic Church in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Adeline graduated from Melrose High School in 1929 and is the last surviving member of that class. She attended St. Mary's Hospital School of Nursing in Minneapolis. Adeline worked many years at the Power's Department Stores in Minneapolis, Knollwood and Eden Prairie, retiring in 1976. She managed the Hallmark Card and Party Shop in the Centennial Plaza in St. Cloud in the 1960's where Edward managed the Piggly Wiggly Supermarket. Adeline lived in Hopkins, Plymouth and Little Canada until moving back to Melrose in 1994. She resided at Parkview since 1994. Adeline was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Melrose, Women's Catholic Order of Foresters and the Schanharr - Otte VFW Post 7050 Auxiliary.
Survivors include her son, Thomas Trisko and his partner, John Rittman of Minneapolis; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her husband, Edward Trisko; parents, Frank and Ida Schneider; brothers, Earl Schneider of Melrose and Raymond Snyder of Minneapolis; and sister, Lorraine Griep of San Jose, California.
